He is 54-years old and started at Colorado as a GA in 1995 and has a nice mixture of coaching experiences. Played QB at Cal; drafted in the NFL; played 1 season for the Jets. Just a few years ago he was the OC at Utah.

Like Colorado hiring Sanders...it is nice to see Stanford go to the FCS level for a head coach...take a little risk to jump start the program. This guy's offenses at all his stops have been very productive.

What is going to be an interesting watch is IF he finds success early how will that impact Justin Wilcox's status at Cal?
