I hate this line: "Neither the Pac-12, Big 12 or ACC will come close to the dollars flowing into the SEC and Big Ten through the rest of the decade."
I'll wait for the final decision, but I maintain Oregon should not get locked in to a long term deal.

This mirrors my feelings on streaming. I don't necessarily agree with all of it, but thought it was interesting info.
Big 12 (Baylor) A.D. on PAC-12 streaming:
"It would be disappointing to be quite frank," Rhoades said, according to 365 Sports. "Where I go first is the brand of the conference, which means impact on recruiting. Conversations with my head coaches, in terms of brand building and linear space — I know everyone talks about cord-cutting, but (TV) is still the way people follow college athletics. If you think about not just the event itself but the shows throughout the week and even on game day. With FOX, you think about game day and their shows. I think it would be a big disappointment for the athletic directors and their coaches."

I'm not a fan of the streaming, or mostly streaming option either.
I wonder if this is a big factor in the holdup in negotiations? Perhaps GK is having a hard time selling a streaming heavy contract to the Universities? It's a tough sell.

For personal viewing preferences I'm totally fine with steaming and haven't had cable TV for 10+ years.
It's what oldretiredguy is saying about the impact on recruiting because a streaming platform is going to isolate the conference and not promote the teams nationally.
Has anyone heard a thing about a streaming platform having a joint venture with a network? I mean the Pac network has some games and others go to FOX and ESPN. Any chance of a streamer being able to do this? I know a while back that Blazers got a lot of grief because NBC Northwest was suppose to work out agreements with satellite services where they didn't have coverage and in many areas an agreement was never reached leaving the one states pro team with no coverage. The Blazers new contract with Root does have agreements with a few other streamers and is on cable TV. If some partnership could be worked out where is wasn't just say Apple TV having exclusive rights I might warm up to the idea.
