Overall I thought the Ducks defense improved, outside of those two penalty laden drives. Still need work on key-play flags, but better coverage and good pressure.
The offense is rolling, I would have to rewatch the game to see if the O line provided better run blocking, but the ground stats were okay. No turnovers, no questionable throws by Nix. Ty had another nice day, he is looking more confident.
Work to do for sure. Colorado will be a good test, they pulled out the win over CSU that I thought they didn’t deserve, but credit to them for not quitting.
Practice hard, clean up mistakes, get ready for Prime time!

I think the O line has some work to do yet, a lot of the runs were outside the tackles. The defense I felt was much cleaner, but gotta fix those foolish penalties. Holding a run and shoot to 201 yards and 10 points is pretty good. Great to see Ty looking much more comfortable. Buffs might be without their 2 way star, who suffered a cheap shot and left the game. Time to start PAC-12 play for the last season..weird. Go Ducks!

@org, thanks for the links. it's always reassuring when the 'experts' watched the same game I witnessed sitting in the stadium.
Lanning & Co got it done in the off-season w the transfer portal and recruiting. Khyree (Bammy), Tysheem (MS, leading tackler yesterday), and Jordan Burch (Gamecocks). some nice receivers to complement Troy. Evan Williams looks good now that he's healthy; didn't get much action yesterday as Hawai'i mostly worked the perimeter.
secondary played much better than in Lubbock. easy to do w the kind of pressure Ducks were bringing. Brandon, Popo, and Taki were their usual selves inside, but Burch, Matayo Uggs, and Mase Funa applied the pincer effect and kept contain. Donte Manning played a solid game at corner (getting harder for me to tell the 6 from the 8 on the unis, but Jahlil is the long one).
O-line also had a much better game. Hawai'i is not a good football team, but they've got some meats on the defensive front, and they don't move easily. Conerly and Cornelius are solid at tackle, and UO ran to the edge much better this week. (longtime Duck fans can't help a smile when Conerly and Dave Iuli--two Seattle-area sophs--are on the field shoulder-to-shoulder.)
chafes me a bit to pass the ball into the end zone on first-and-goal from the 1 against an inferior opponent, but I guess that's the element of surprise.
this is a decent video production by the beleaguered Pac-12 office. provides a clear picture of dominance along both lines-of-scrimmage yesterday.
