As I have always understood it, once you play a team(and win) it is best for them to keep winning(see note about Texas Tech in article) so it makes your win look better with each week.
Wilner explains perfectly well with only a bias to the Pac-12 itself, why UO and UW must keep winning in order to create a playoff worthy Pac-12 Championship Game... and it's not just about the remaining undefeated teams but also the one loss teams right behind us.
Now is the time for Duck fans to hope the best for the UW AND vice versa.

Well, of course I'll never root for the huskies, but that's pretty much how I see it; if both keep winning until the PAC champ game, the winner would have beaten a very highly ranked team right at the end of the year. After that, all we can do is hope the committee sees it our way.

Agree with you both. An undefeated Huskies team will benefit the Ducks going to the PAC12 Championship. Another game that will help is OSU has to play Michigan. Hopefully, one trounces the other in order for one not to remain in the playoff picture.
Florida State still amazes me as I don't recall them playing anyone that was ranked high. I believe they started out ranked 4! They will continue to stay there as their remaining schedule does not seem to provide much competition. Only LSU was ranked 18 when they beat them, back on September 3rd. They are a good team (including Trey Benson!) but I don't see them winning the semi final. They play Miami on Saturday. HaHa!

Wouldn't it be funny if we played them in a semi final??? Shades of Winston getting destroyed by Tony Washington

Love it! It sure would. I’ve never been much of an FSU fan they’ve been so bad. I kind of forgot about them the past few years though. I do remember that game time is the funny thing.

Since the Huskies beat the Trojans, it makes sense to root for both teams and all of their games.
The Ducks beating the Huskies and getting in the playoff would be far better revenge than the Huskies blowing a game still getting beat by the Ducks and then the Ducks barely missing out on the playoffs.
I dislike the Huskies as much as anyone else it will be rooting for the Ducks to make the playoffs not the Huskies to win per say.
