For the near future as in the next 2-years, Oregon is working to get the Boise State games rescheduled or bought out...but as the article notes, in 2025 OSU has a game with Texas Tech the same day Oregon plays Boise State.
1) I want the games to mean something beyond keeping the rivalry alive. Right now it would look like Oregon has EVERYTHING to lose and nothing to gain because unless OSU(and WSU) pull off a miracle, OSU's competition these next few years will be below P5 level or at least BIG level...so they won't be in the Playoffs discussion.
2) Depending on what happens with OSU, Texas Tech might want to bail out of that game which was originally set to be a P5 team vs a P5 team.
3) Regardless, more than likely going forward the Civil War as we know it would be played in September as I imagine the BIG wants its rivalry games played the last weekend of the regular season which means UO vs UW.

It may continue, but it might be without J. Smith. He is in the second round of interviews for the Michigan State job, per CBS. I don't have a good link right now. Had the PAC stayed together, I think he would have been a lifer there, but all these changes might be giving him second thoughts. When I can find a good link, I'll post it.
