I've observed Ducks fans, in general, are falling into two camps: 1) Those who will never root for the Huskies to win, ever; and 2) Those who believe we should root for them to win the Natty so the PAC-12 can go out in a final blaze of glory.
Which side are you on?

Easy..I could never root for the huskies, no matter what.

Same here. Especially because I know a Husky Natty win would garner nothing more than a few wistful comments from commentators and columnists before quickly being forgotten. The Husky gloating, however, would last forever.

No way in hell I'll pull for the Huskies. I'd rather have an appendectomy. Now I'm not sure if the Ducks would have gotten in anyway with a win over Washington. Appears like the committee has a woody for Alabama and the SEC. WD said it best, the gloating from WA would never stop if they win the Natty! Go Longhorns and Sark!!!

They’re already having a field day with the Fiesta Bowl. I hope the Longhorns blow them out. And I hate Texas.
Woody for the SEC is putting it mildly.eSPN does too, of course. Half the show was a platform for sanctimonious lectures from Sanke and Finebaum. I can imagine how FSU felt listening to those bliwhards.

The thought of either Washington or Texas GUARANTEED to be in the Championship Game is 🤮💩
I am hoping both teams become decimated by COVID so the game is cancelled and the winner of Alabama vs Michigan is declared the National Champion🙏

Will never root for Washington.
I hate every team in the playoff. I'm actually not looking forward to the CFP in the least bit. Even though I will still watch.

I will be rooting for UW v Texas. and then Michigan (I hope) v UW. Harbaugh or not.
and going forward I'll be rooting for UW, USC, and UCLA every week they're not playing Oregon. we're brothers on a journey now. gonna take some serious getting used to.
my Dawg friends are being pretty gracious. but they are reminding me that it was the UO-UW game in Seattle two years ago that drove a stake into Jimmy Lake (already a dead man walking) and brought Kalen DeBoer to Montlake. so I guess they're gracious & grateful.

I see no need to have loyalty to any of those 3 schools. I never rooted for them when they were in the Pac 12. Why the hell would I root for them now?

What I believe is going to happen and it is a great thing...the 4 Pac-12 teams going to the BIG will disrupt the most predictable football conference and the annual snooze fest of waiting for Michigan v Ohio State to play and determine anything while Penn State chokes at every opportunity. That norm is going to end.🙏
Having spent decades despising just about everything Big Ten thanks to the Rose Bowl...I will be cheering for the former Pac-12 teams in EVERY Conference game they play against current BIG teams.
However I am not excited about Oregon playing Purdue, Rutgers, Maryland, etc🙄 Not looking forward to it at all.

Would Ohio State fans suddenly root for Michigan if they were moving to the Pac12?
Lol.

No way in hell would I / will I root for the Fuskies. My hate spreads decades.
EVER
Never believed in the “win for the PAC” thing.
And the selection committee is nothing more than another scotch-drinking / cigar-smoking / club room where fate is delivered without care or remorse. We very well could have been left out even with a win.
Hope there is a national power shortage the first week of the new year.

I'm just not ever going to be able to root for either the huskies or the trojans; UCLA I just don't care either way. With the move to the B1G, my "root for the conference" days are over. The success of either of those teams doesn't reflect on us at all anymore.

Pretty much agree with the take on those three .....

NIL has rendered "rooting for your conference" to be a moot point. Every program is going to be even more mercenary and cutthroat in the pursuit of individual success, just like the pros. Never heard a Dolphin fan root for the Pats becuase of AFC East pride...
