Excellent article on QB's in the Transfer Portal
1) Half the P5 schools need a QB.
2) 90 QB's in the TP.
3) Many of those QB's not figured to make it in the NFL are looking for their last big paycheck in college.
4) Lots of hype about Nix, Daniels and Penix being transfers BUT what is not being noted is they are all in their second year i.e.the Mississippi State coach noting that the QB position is typically not a plug-in and play situation(argument against one-and-done QB's).
5) The top names from last year's Portal at the QB position underachieved this year and / or didn't lead their respective team to anything special.
Personally I don't like the mindset that to succeed you need a QB from the Transfer Portal...no guarantee it will go well.

How about this scenario; we bring in both Gabriel and Dante Moore. Gabriel is the man this year, while Moore sits and learns, then Moore takes over in 2025. We have Akili Smith Jr. coming in the 25 class, so that could be the path for Oregon to develope a starting QB. All speculation at this point.
