Football, MBB and WBB: pretty sure no school had ever won all three. Just as no school had ever won cross country, indoor and outdoor track national titles in same year til Duck women a few years ago. I remember that Oregon made big deal in 2001 or 2002 when Oregon won FB and men's BB. Remember the athletic department had posters printed to commemorate.

I'm sure I read somewhere that baseball is a "major" sport. LOL.
Would be pretty cool if MBB win out and UCLA drops their game. That would mean they were all sole championships, rather than one of them being tied. Since no one has been sole champion of MBB and WBB in the same year, either.

2001 UO football won the Pac-10 conf, defeated Colorado in the Fiesta Bowl and finished the season ranked #2.
2001-02 UO b-ball with Luke, Luke, & Freddie won the P-10 regular season (14-4), lost in the semis of the P10 tourney, and went all the way to the Elite Eight before losing to Kansas; finished ranked #11 in one poll.
2001-02 women's b-ball under 1st-year coach Bev Smith couldn't make the Big Dance but won five post-season games and the Women's NIT. not bad.

Yeah, that is pretty good, pretty close to a Triple Crown. Stanford gals won the league that year.

SC takes down BruCru. Ducks are P-12 reg-season champs.
'Oregon is the first Pac-12 school to win championships in football, women’s basketball and men’s basketball in the same academic year and joins Ohio State (2005-06, 2006-07, 2009-10) as just the second Power Five school to ever do so.' --James Crepea in The O just now.
going for another 'Triple Crown' tonight in MKA. Ducks undefeated in Autzen, Lady Ducks undefeated in MKA, Dana's Ducks 16-0 in MKA. one more to go.

Not only did they get the triple crown, but they also were undefeated at home! Talk about some home cooking.
