While his X's and O's were mighty suspect, Mario recruited the line and recruited it well.  Lanning seems to understand this aspect of football as well and is loading up the lines on both sides.  You can't win the game without first winning the trenches. 
 

We'll see some big kids in the trenches in the B1G. Lots of those kids go on to the NFL. A different approach than in the PAC, but Lanning gets it, and his line recruiting is maybe even better than MCs.
