What a good past week to be a Duck fan! Another quick week for me at least. So far playing MSU and the Buckeyes haven't felt weird. Tonight seems more like an out of conference game to me.
The game is on FOX at 5 PST
The Ducks are favored by 28.5.
The weather should be in the mid-50s and dry, at the local 8 PM kickoff. That's actually not very cold and good weather for the time of year.
Purdue allows 228 run yards per game. This should be a great opportunity to get the run game going.
The secondary isn't that great either allowing 225 passing yards per game.
Unfortunately Jordan Burch will most likely be out again. He hasn't been practicing. They shouldn't need him, but they sure will later in the season.
They have not beaten an FBS opponent. They've only beaten Indiana State.
The second string QB made a big run and almost beat Illinois last week. Is Illinois D that bad or has Purdue figured things out on offense? Most folks aren't putting much stock into Purdue being a threat despite all the trap game talk.
Personally I would like to see Dante Moore in for more than just handoffs. Hopefully not bad luck as the last couple times I said that we narrowly squeaked out wins against teams from Idaho. I think we have turned a corner and I'm certainly don't think we'll narrowly win this. I'm not sure about covering the spread though.
That's all I got for now, Go Ducks!!!

We will see if the Ducks have eclipsed their tendency to play to the level of their opponent.
That said, I look forward to some explosion plays and hoping to see some turnovers gotten by the Duck D.
Ribs smoking on the kettle with a batch of cole slaw in the fridge and Bavarian Weissbiers on tap. I am so looking forward to enjoying a nice Autumn Friday evening in in front of a Duck football game.

Nice, a Bavarian Weissbier is a great football beer. Besides being good you can drink it early or more than 1 without getting hammered. I have a couple of German beers on tap and a New Zealand style Pilsner that I brewed. I purposely went for lagers for football season. It was a challenge as I had to use a bunch of ice and pump to chill the beer and then run my temp controlled chest freezer during the hottest time of the year back in August.
Enjoy your food, I was too busy with a new work project to do anything so it's a pizza night for me.
I hope to see some takeaways too!

Terrance Ferguson is a scratch tonight. He practiced on Tuesday, has anyone heard if he hurt himself in practice versus just being a little dinged up from last week?

Well JJ, you got your explosive play, a beautiful 49 yd bomb. Ducks looking good!

It looks like the Ducks showed up to play tonight. Thank goodness! It seems like It’s been easy to get a read on the team early on if they showed up or not the past couple years and they certainly did tonight

After a nice stop (refs missed holding in that qb run) Ducks on the move.

Another great looking balanced drive. A bit nervous after that third down stop, but James got it done. Nice mix of run and pass. Whit had a big one, would like to see more of him.

Crazy last minute. Dillon missed a deep wide open Tez. Happy to get the ball back in that fumble. Purdue D has gotten better on coverage, time for some halftime adjustments.
