Re: March Madness OFF, men's & women's

As other posters have mentioned you really have to feel for the women's team. They were rolling at the right time and most likely would've won it all.

While I read about the virus having a good chance of reaching here a few months back I really didn't consider the implications it is having on day to day life cancellations of all sorts of things including sports.

I guess there's a few remaining sports left. Has anyone watched UFC or would consider it for the mean time? As of right now they're planning to let the show go on. I believe there's also a German soccer league still playing also. https://www.oregonlive.com/coronavirus/2020/03/coronavirus-wont-suspend-ufc-fights-president-donald-trump-encouraged-events-to-continue-dana-white-says.html

gotta feel for the student-athletes across the board, esp the seniors. I'm thinking of someone like Haley Cruse, who stuck it out during the White-to-Lombardi turmoil when so many others bailed. (must be brutal time for Mike White and UT-Austin softball right now; girls actually have to go to class).
there's chatter that the NCAA is considering changing eligibility rules and roster-size limits to enable some senior 2019-20 spring and even winter student-athletes to return for an additional season next year. (you can find links on Ken Goe's Twitter.) not sure how it would work, and I doubt Sab, Ruthy, Satou, or Minyon would return, but would be a great thing for non-redshirt seniors who had their seasons scrubbed.
