Man, I am jonesing here. Never did I think there would be a world without sports. I am seeing reruns of classic games, minidocs of important sports people, lots of filler..but NO LIVE SPORTS...
I get the reason, but as an old man who watches virtually nothing else on TV, I am hopping around like a fart in a skillet. Shit.
End Of Rant...

I feel your pain, ORG. finally get the daughts outda house so's the entertainment room isn't the Aubrey Plaza Film Festival. and now nothing to watch. always have my buddies over for a big Sat or Sun Masters party, but not this year.
I can't imagine what's going on at the sports shout shows on cable all day long. maybe they're arguing w each other over who was the GOAT and calling each other names when they disagree.
thinking I'm going to rewatch the Ken Burns PBS 'Baseball' docu from years ago; one of the best things I ever saw on TV. hoping I can find a library close by and check out the DVDs one inning at a time.

Tough times, I guess we have no choice, but to make due for the mean time. I feel you too ORG and folks. The virus is affecting sports of all levels. My 11 year old nephew leaves and breaths basketball. He plays on the most competitive team in the area and they've completely canceled everything.
I wanted to send thoughts and prayers to anyone who's been hit with the virus and their family. I know locally a VA nursing home has been infiltrated and we've already lost someone.
After a while I might be in the mood to watch some classic games. I might check out more of the 30 for 30 docs. I especially recommend the 85 Bears one if you haven't seen it. Besides sports I'm into this seasons Better Call Saul and have that to look forward to on Mondays. I'm also a home brewer and have that to keep me occupied.
My parents just got a ping pong table so my dad and I have that. They only lives a couple miles away. His knees are bad and we haven't been able to play other sports the last couple of years. His ping pong game is still top notch so it will be a lot of fun. Hey, we could live stream ping pong matches from the garage if anyone's getting really desperate LOL!
Take care folks

My main comfort at this point is Oregon claimed Pac-12 Championships in football, Mbasketball and Wbasketball plus went undefeated at home in all those sports! If I had to transition into an "no sports" time frame like we have now, I would rather do it as conference champions! Go Ducks!

From Duck Territory.....
Graves: 'There’s always going to be a little hole in my heart'
"My guess us that they didn’t make this decision willy nilly," Graves told media members at a press conference held in the Matthew Knight Interview room. "I’m sure that they consulted with experts in the medical field, and other areas that know a heck of a lot more than a bunch of coaches would.
“Listen, it’s hard to say right now, but my opinion is that they made the right choice."
"This is a resilient group. It's unfortunate that we didn't get to see them in this tournament, because I think it would've been a very special run."
Graves remarked later during the 16 minutes spent with media that this year would always feel different than others.
“I’m trying personally to get over this and move on to what’s next, but there’s always going to be a little hole in my heart for this group of seniors," he said.
“I’ll just say it, I think we were the best team in the country and I think we were a team that was playing as well or better than anybody," he added. "We obviously had a mission, and a reason to get this done, and it’s unfortunate that that’s taken away, but it certainly won’t take away from all of the great memories that we had, and the things that we accomplished."
----
“No, I don’t think that’s all that practical, in my opinion," he said of an abbreviated tournament at a later date. "I don’t know what that would accomplish, actually."

My yard looks great and ready to bloom, the deep Spring cleaning and painting is done ahead of schedule, the vehicles are cleaned inside and out with claying and waxing completed. My wife is going to get used to this...
I own the KB Baseball set on disc, great call as we hunker down for the next couple of weeks...!

Sure hope the wives don't get to used to this: football will be back
Speaking of football, Ducks land a QB:

Best to all of you, and hope you guys are hanging in there. Like others here, been working in the yard and putting in time at the word processor.
You want to hear about surreal? We begin drive-thrpugh testing in the lots at TIAA Bank Field tomorrow.
Kindle Unlimited has been awesome for us for reading a wide variety of books.
Go Ducks! Glad Ty Thompson attended Justin's pro day...
