Flag planting

Not a big fan of Gus Johnson but he had a valid point about Michigan planting the flag on the OSU logo being disrespectful. See the attachment and hope you can open it. Says the Ducks planted the flag at center field at Michigan. Sorry, I think that is disrespectful. No need to rub their nose in it. Would not want anyone doing that at Autzen.  As a note, how do you plant a flag in an artificial field? and then, do you grab it before getting on the bus?

Re: Flag planting

I'm not for it my any means, but I'm not real upset about it either. Ohio State has done that in Michigan a numbers of times back and even ripped down their banner there.

I missed hearing anything about the Ducks doing that.

It's just best practice to take the high road and not engage with the activity for sure.

Re: Flag planting

Not a fan.  You win/lose, greet and thank your opponents on the field and hit the locker room where things can either go crazy or not depending which side of the game you came out of.  In this world of CFB, the dude whose nose you just rubbed in shit might be on your roster next year.

Had no idea Oregon planted any flags at UM, doubt it happened or it was just a quick photo op without the theatrics...?

Re: Flag planting

Don’t like it, exemplifies poor sportsmanship. But the losing team getting into a melee for it?  Also bad form. NC State, ASU and Florida all did it Saturday with wins in opposing stadiums. No altercation or drama per se. Not supporting it by any means, but the M / fOSU game was not flag-planting unique. Couldn’t find anything on the Ducks at M.
