Check out former Ducks and NFL TE George Wrighster's preview of this Saturday's game. I've really enjoyed George is a newer addition to Talkn' Ducks. In this video he doesn't really get into the break down of the game until halfway through so jump their if you don't want to hear some stories of his time playing.
My childhood fan's who's an Illinois fan texted me last week asking "are Duck fans getting tired of playing bad team" I texted back a resounding "YES". As I mentioned before the matchup has never been so lopsided for the Civil War. Are fans just looking forward to Penn State or does this game still matter?

This match up is not even close on paper. Oregon will win this going away. Might be the last Civil War game played for some time as well.
The fact is that this Oregon team has yet to be punched in the nose and given a chance to respond. PSU will punch, and punch hard. So I expect again that we will not learn anything new about the team against OSU.
The real story is Oregon State football. If this team is boat raced out of Autzen, Bray will need to hitch a ride back to Corvallis, getting tarmac-ed by the AD. He has already thrown his team under the bus in public and I imagine has lost the locker room. While he was not that program's first choice for a coach nor the best choice, he was the right choice based on the timing and circumstances in that moment. The P12 expands next season and I imagine OSU wants to turn the page regardless, the program slide today making it an easier decision. All things considered, it is an attractive job and a lot of money was invested there prior to the decimation of the old P12. In what universe is OSU a better job than UCLA??? This one apparently, in my opinion.

From what I saw yesterday it sounds like the series will be resumed after a 1 year break next year.
OSU seems like they're between a rock and a hard place with Bray. While He makes 1.2 million per year I believe he has a 6 million buyout clause in his contract that extends the next 3 season. They really need to rebuild completely.
It seems like the Ducks fans don't care about playing the game anymore and at least the Beavs fans I talked to assume they rather not. From a practical standpoint the game makes sense for the Ducks to try to limit travel and play a game they don't have to worry about losing. For fans it's just not going to be what it used to be for some time.
