Ducks vs. Minnesota Game Chat

The No. 8 Oregon Ducks (8-1, 5-1 Big Ten) host the Minnesota Golden Gophers (6-3, 4-2) at Autzen Stadium, with kickoff set for 6 p.m. PT. While early in the week looked like another rainy game, things have changed to dry and low 50s for game time. Pretty good weather for this time of year.

TV: FOX, note you can download the FOX local app and stream on your phone for if some reason you can't be around a TV with the game. You can also download the app to a number of TVs to watch for free. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems like more games have been on local stations in the past couple of years, which is a pleasant surprise. I remember back when you could see a number of the Blazers on local TV.

Oregon enters the game ranking second nationally in rushing yards per carry and leading the nation in passing defense, while Minnesota's defense is a key strength, ranking fourth nationally in sacks.

Despite Minnesota's solid defense, Oregon is heavily favored, with betting lines listing the Ducks as a 22.5- to 25.5-point favorite. Will this be an easy game like the oddsmakers say or a potential trap game? Personally I've had a hard time not thinking ahead to USC.
Recently the run game came to life with 261 yards against Iowa. Jordan Davis along with Dierre Hill, has been dominant, averaging 239.7 rushing yards per game and 471.6 total yards per game.

Minnesota's defense, anchored by defensive end Anthony Smith (8.5 sacks) and linebacker Devon Williams (70 tackles), has been formidable, allowing just 311.6 yards per game and ranking 21st in total defense.
The Gophers' offense has struggled, ranking 118th in total offense and 96th in scoring, with redshirt freshman quarterback Drake Lindsey showing inconsistency.

Oregon's defense has been exceptional, surrendering only 15 plays of 20+ yards all season and forcing three-and-outs at a nation-leading 37% rate.

Injuries: DL has confirmed that Dak is out for sure and Sadiq is questionable. He did say Alex Harkey was close against Iowa so maybe he could play? I still don't see any update on Gary Bryant Jr. and would be pleasantly surprised if he's a go. Please let me know what you've heard and I'll update if I hear anything new.

Go Ducks!!!

Latest word from pregame is that Sadiq was in the march and “looked ready to go”.
