“I like what they are doing with the program,” he said. “I think it’s on a verge of a natty.”
It's great to see the Ducks land a star receiver. Not to take away from Joe Burrow or belittle the Ducks receivers last year by any means, but I couldn't help but wonder what Herbert could've done with a cast of blue chip receivers like Burrow had. Whoever wins out at QB should have an unbelievable cast of recruits to work with next year. I listened to Andrew's podcast and he's predicting about 8 really talented commits coming soon including at least a couple more very talented receivers. Go Ducks!

After the past couple years of dropped passes it's nice to see MC addressing the issue. Seems that every position on the football field is getting filled with high talent guys the past few years. Super excited for Duck football. The next few years is going to be fun.

Oregon now up to 8th on Rivals, and that's with getting nothing yet for Perkins (JC)...could this be MC's best class

The other night I watched highlights of the 2013 Civil War won by Oregon in the last minute in a Mariota to Huff pass for a TD. Oregon's offensive weapons that game were Mariota, Huff, DAT and Tyner!
Point being, when Helfraud eventually ran the program into the ground he also emptied the talent pool too and especially at the WR position but also RB except for Freeman.
I know bashing Cristobal / Arroyo WAS a popular sport but in fairness to them, the talent levels at the offensive skill positions the last few years have been good but nowhere near the levels of Kelly and Helfraud(until Mariota graduated) years.
This type of recruiting commitment and all the others on both sides of the ball gives me enormous optimism for the future of Duck football.

lots of chatter before the NFL Draft earlier this year about Herbs's ability relative to the other top-tier QBs; esp Herbs v TuaTags because they almost both ended up in Eugene.
gotta wonder what Herbs's numbers would have looked like throwing to first-round WRs Ruggs and Jeudy, like Tua did at Bama, or the cast Burrow had around him at LSU.
Bryan McClendon came to UO w a rep as a top recruiter, and a mission to upgrade the talent at WR. so far, so good.
