Re: Justin Herbert article with some film:

Just think if the Ducks would have had a better offensive coordinator...might have taken us to the championship game.  Chargers staff are letting him play to his strengths. All about coaching. Very impressive start for the young man...continued good success, Justin!

He might be a better pro QB than a college QB.  It happens, think Tom Brady...!

Re: Justin Herbert article with some film:

Kudos to the much maligned Cristobal / Arroyo tandem in only their second year working together as head coach / OC, Herbert lead the Ducks to first-place in the Pac-12 North Division; won the conference championship; won the Rose Bowl.

It also appears at the moment they did a much better job in preparing him for the NFL than Helfraud did with Mariota.

Also considering at Oregon the offensive talent Herbert had to work with was not nearly at the same level as James, Barner, DAT, Huff, etc.

Speaking of Helfraud, he was too busy recruiting graduate transfers for the QB position to bother much with the 3* Herbert who had offers from Northern Arizona, Montana State and Portland State.

The Ducks were so bad that Helfraud had no choice but to play "the local kid" in hopes he could overcome Helfraud's horrible head coaching.

Finally, "play calling" is an easy target for complaints but just think if the DEFENSE could have stopped a true freshman QB last season (Auburn) or not allowed ASU to go 75 yards in 3 plays to essentially ice the game, the Ducks might have been undefeated.
