Big Ten plays one week and...

The advantage for the Pac-12 "starting last" is presumably being able to see what is and is not working with Covid-19 prevention in the other conferences and set guidelines accordingly.

The disadvantage is there is absolutely no wiggle room with the scheduling in order to finish before the holidays and be considered for the playoffs.

The Big Ten had one weekend of games and now the Wisconsin vs Nebraska game is cancelled.

I am hoping the Pac-12's no fans in stadiums mandate will help.

Re: Big Ten plays one week and...

I'm glad the 5 Ducks players that initially tested positive were confirmed as false positives.

Who knows if they can make it through the short season? Some games are sure to be cancelled. It's not helping matters that COVID rates are surging in the community and on campus right when the season is suppose to start.

Nothing seems very predictable right now though. I remember when a few baseball games got cancelled at the start of the season and numerous sports journalist declared the it wasn't going to work and wouldn't finish. The pessimist have certainly been wrong a lot during COVID on sports being able to play so we'll just have to wait and see.

We're definitely starting the season with a lot of uncertainties. I'm hoping everyone can stay safe.
