Considering the brevity of schedule and the eventual asterisk to be placed on the National Champion this season, this would be the year where teams could feasibly afford to lose or at least let someone take a shot at them.
My question is, what matchup would you like to have seen this year? Alabama, knowing Saban has a legit excuse this time? Auburn or Boise St. because we need to collect? Ohio St. as planned? FAU just so as to say “Hello” to an ex who ended up worse off? Maybe sign up for some MAC-tion?

The luckeyes...no close second choice for me. To have that game AT Autzen...you can wait a decade(or more) for a game like that to happen.

I'll agree with this one: that tOSU game was a long time in the making, and would have been a great barometer to tell us where the Ducks stand.

Ohio State at home as planned would still be my favorite. I've never liked FSU and would've like to seen them shellacked even if they did us a favor in hiring WT.
I've thought for a long time that this season would be successful, but more of a retooling season to make a push for the playoffs next year. Assuming things will get back to normal next year I'm glad this season has been altered versus next year with all the turnover this year and having this years incredible class get more experience to combine with next years phenomenal class. It's a real bummer of course to miss out this year on Ohio, see if this team couldn't made the playoffs at full strength, and see players declare early and all.
The Ducks future is certainly looking bright and I'm looking forward to seeing more games this year. Go Ducks!

I hope they can figure something out to get a home game in the next 2 years to make it even. It sounded like it might be tough for Ohio to make it happen. Has anyone heard any updates?

just about any B1G team would be fine (well, maybe not Maryland or Rutgers or Indiana).
there's a special relationship between P12 and B1G owing to the Rose Bowl. some of the best games I've seen in Autzen over the years have been B1G teams: Sparty (twice), Wisky, Michigan, Purdue, Illinois (who remembers Ryan Perry Smith?).
