What's comes to your mind first after the Ducks win last night?
For me the game confirmed the high expectations I had for Moorhead going into the season. I love the balanced attack that includes being aggressive at times. The offensive isn't just a go for broke one dimensional gimmick offense. If Shough keeps improving and they can limit the turnovers the Ducks are going to be hard to beat.
Even with Pittman out the Ducks have reliable receivers that can make difficult grabs.
On less of a positive note it's apparent that we still can't even count on a chip shot field goal. The kickoffs were a little better, but the kicks still didn't have much leg on them. Tom Snee had a great punt last night and is really the only positive thing the Ducks have going in the kicking game.
The defensive is looking decent, but it would be nice to get a little more pressure on the QB early. Once again the Ducks started a little slow and missed a number of tackles. Noah Sewell looks like he's going to be a force to be reckoned with. I think the defense will keep improving and find ways to get more pressure.

Like to see the first half jitters go away, against a great team we could get buried. When they are playing up to par they look great though.

Tyler is going through the expected growing pains, w another shaky 1st half. we were asking--if Ducks hadn't connected on that deep ball at end of half owing to a Wazzu blown coverage--would we see Anthony Brown to start Q3?
looks like he's either going to one receiver--covered or not--or gonna pull it down and run. now, some good things happen when he pulls it down, but I know Mario and Moorhead would like to see him work thru some progressions and find alternate receivers. onward.
second what radar1 said. what if last night's 1st-half offense were to come up against a Bama or other elite D in whatever post-season awaits these 2020 Ducks? yikes! was wondering for a while there mid-Q2 if we could beat the Beavs.
pretty much liking the rest of this team so far. kicking game still scary. missed tackles expected, I guess, because of limited full scrimmages. O-line seems to be developing some cohesion and starting to gel. more pressure on the QB would be nice, but on the whole I'd grade out the D last night as a B-. they got some stops in the red-zone (3 Wazzu FGs) when it mattered.
de Laura was impressive for a frosh; kid looks like the real deal. would not be surprised if he gets at least one Duck and one or more Dawg scalps on his belt before he leaves Pullman.
all kinds of stuff going on last night . . . and Canzano wrote a column about Marcus Arroyo and last year.

OFFENSE
Shough looks good. Depth all over the place in the offensive scoring positions. The OL is doing better than I might have guessed. In fact the OL and RB's look faster than last year. Play calling seems to be a good mix of "straight up" and "tricks."
However I continue to dislike the Pistol where the RB runs anywhere 7 to 10 yards just to get to the line of scrimmage.
DEFENSE
Doesn't look as physical as last year. One problem seems to be inability to tackle after a catch by opposing WR.
SPECIAL TEAMS
FG's just should not be that difficult to make.
Overall and every team is in the same situation...have to remember these players did not have the normal routine of Spring pactice; summer workouts and Fall camp. It is and will continue to be a patchwork approach.
I am happy to be 2-0! Go Ducks!

My only take was that I LOVED to see the RBs sweep and turn the corner once they got past the edge while the WRs locked up the secondary with solid blocking. Reminded me a lot of LMJ when he was able to hit the jets once he found the opening on the edge. Moorhead mixes it up well in terms of spreading out the field and keeping defenses honest.
