Ducks basketball

As I was lamenting the fact that Oregon Ducks transfer players LJ Figueroa and Aaron Estrada could not play due to transfer rules, I just learned  that the NCAA granted LJ Figueroa eligibility to play immediately.  Great!  He will be in the line-up when the Ducks play Seton Hall on Friday.  Still waiting to hear if Estrada can play, also.  And hearing about the loss of Will Richardson for 6-8 weeks due to surgery didn't help either.

Although it had no bearing on the outcome of last night's game, Missouri had two players that were transfers who were eligible to play.  Drew Buggs played 9 minutes, 0-1 from the field, 2 assists and one personal foul.  He played last year at Hawaii.

Ed Chang played at Salt Lake Community College last year.  He did not appear in last nights game.

Another interesting fact about the Tigers roster, they have three players named SMITH!  Mitchell, Dru and Mark.  Good luck to the play-by-play announcer with that.

Re: Ducks basketball

Thanks for the information / update.

One thing I have come to accept with Altman is he is not a fast starter in terms of the overall team play.

He embraces the "marathon not a sprint" perspective of college basketball.

His goal, seemingly, is to peak for Pac-12 and NCAA tournaments and it has worked well for him and the Ducks.

Loving Oregon's play tonight. They are a different team, at least at 9:28 pm EST. We balling!

Shoot, I missed the game. I'm glad they turned things around from the Missouri game. I watched that one and they had ball movement problems and got out hustled the first have. Omoruyi looked good though and you could tell the Ducks have talent. I'll be looking forward to watching more like DucksReign said Altman teams start slow and get better at the end of the season.

It was a good game! Seton Hall is pretty athletic, but Fuarte and Figueroa hung with them. Dante is huge! This team will be fine...
