Henry Katleman trick shot & "I'm pretty comfortable from 55"

It was was just a few weeks ago that we thought the Ducks are in another season without even being able to kick a short FG. Leave it to the walk on soccer player you didn't even play high school football to the rescue. It's nice to know going into a bowl game with a tough opponent that a field goal from even deep is on the table now.

If you haven't seen this video of Henry kicking a trick shot, check it out! Pretty phenomenal. I'm posting another interview were he mentions that he's pretty comfortable from 55 yards! I've heard Mario confirm that he makes deep kicks in practice all the time.

He seems to have the "it" quality MC demands from his players...  With this guy around, wonder why it took so long for MC to make the switch...?  My guess is that MC's heart is three sizes larger than normal and feels for the other kid getting benched...  Proof that MC still settling into the CEO role...

that Q4 FG v Tommy was YUGE. would have been very uncomfortable watching SC in UO territory near the end of the game trailing 24-28 instead of 24-31. I see that Camden is still handling the kickoffs.

Ducks remain +4 v Iowa State Saturday; moneyline (Ducks straight-up) is +160. think that's very generous toward Oregon.

Ducks have six games under their belt this year, only one v decent competition, with a new QB, whole new OL, and the heart of the D (Troy, Jevon, Brady) gone. Iowa State has 11 games plus quality Ws over Horns, Baylor, TCU, and Okies. surprised it's not Cyclones -7 or more.

I'll be in front of the screen Saturday nevertheless. Go Ducks!

Thanks for sharing the links.

His press conference (interesting to hear the names/voices of so many people whose articles I read) confirms what I always understood with kickers...there is a huge mental component to it i.e. he does his meditation every day.

Kickers know how to kick the ball...but can the mind be calm for the body to do what is necessary to kick the ball? Especially when the snap, hold, weather, rushing opponent and other factors create distractions? Glad he is a Duck!🦆

Otherwise I have work Saturday but will record the game and follow it on my phone as work allows. Hopefully Moorhead decides to "let it go" on offense for an entire game🙏

Happy New Year!

Katleman was won of the few bright spots this game. Unlike QB the Ducks have a definitive FG kicker going forward.

You didn't miss much having to work. The game is still worth watching to see what happened. It's still hard to make a lot o sense about various aspect of the game.

Happy New Year and to a better year and Ducks team next year
