I can honestly say the only issue I have agreed with Canzano on 100% is his opinion of Larry Scott and this column is no exception. The literally millions of dollars spent basically for Scott's comfort and lifestyle is both astonishing and disheartening. The Pac-12 Network is in tatters.
I am optimistic that Kliavkoff is a good hire.
Also we certainly need some football teamS to exceed some expectations and make a national impact.

My opinion of Canzano has improved with this series in particular. Larry Scott might still be around right now if it wasn't for his reporting.
I hope Kliavkoff is the answer. I really didn't follow the potential candidates and don't have much of an opinion about Kliavkoff yet. @DR Do you think his lack of experience with college football is a concern at all?
I agree that someone needs to step it up in the Pac. As much as I don't like USC and Washington it would really help if they were good next year and could win out of conference games like USC beating Notre Dame. The Ducks have so much talent now and have no excuse not to improve, I wish the Buckeyes game wasn't the 2nd of the season on the road.

Re Kliavkoff...My thinking is his selection may not be what many people WANTED(lack of college experience) but it is what the conference NEEDED.
The last thing the Pac-12 needs is a "college administrator" type for a Commissioner.
If we agree nobody is going to check every box as in someone with a great resume of college work but also can negotiate TV contracts; understands brand marketing, etc...then a top priority has to be revenue streams.
The Pac-12, football being the exception, has very good athletic programs along with excellent academics...it is a great conference (just ask Bill Walton!😂) but the media contracts, Pac-12 Network and all related aspects are a train wreck compared to the other P5 Conferences.
I see Kliavkoff has being able to orchestrate a vision to generate the conference some serious $$$!
I am not expecting him to travel around for handshake PR meetings with school officials.
Re other teams stepping up...agree although I would like to see Chip / UCLA(maybe his last year to do so?) be one of those teams... especially now that ASU appears to be "dirty."
In the North Division, I think Cal needs to make it happen. Justin Wilcox was hired in January 2017...it is now his team of recruits.
Go Ducks!
