Chip Kelly at Pac-12 Media Day
I still enjoy listening to Chip Kelly. He is definitely not as one-liner oriented(some people may say "arrogant" is a better word) as he used to be but still has some funny comments. My favorite from this talk is his acronym "TBU" which stands for True But Useless!
Interesting approach he used this year taking advantage of UCLA's quarter system by moving spring practices to May. This allowed for new recruits to enroll in April...plus it significantly reduced the time between the end of spring training to the upcoming start of fall training.
Good segment at around the 20-minute mark about most people don't appreciate how tough quarterbacks have to be...the only time they get hit is during a game! No coach allows their QB(s) to get hit in practice...so it is only during a game and rarely are they ever delivering the hit but instead are always taking the hit. I hope UCLA has a very good year...I want Chip to remain in the conference.
