Apparently there was a significant amont of booing and hissing from the crowd at the game. Question to the peanut gallery is this: Is your purchase of a ticket your right to boo the home team?
I get the dissatisfaction with QB play, play calling, penalties and level of intensity this team dials up based on thier opponent. But do we run the coach out on a rail or scare off recruits with a fickle and hostile home crowd? At what point does an object fly from the stands a la the SEC of late?
Or is this just the pent up emotions of 20 months of anxiety and continued uncertainty?
Thoughts???

I'll give a lot of weight to your last sentence..I do think there is a lot of anger everywhere about everything right now, and it is showing up in society in general. The behavior of football fans is somewhat a reflection of this issue. Also, there are those who feel Oregon is greatly under-achieving given the talent. These people don't take into account the fact MC is installing a much different philosophy concerning how he wants to play.
AB had his best passing game, and hopefully he'll keep that up, and maybe the offense can play for 4 full quarters, and that will silence the boo birds. I doubt recruits pay much attention to the fans.

I wasn't at the game but comments on other message boards from people who claimed they were...
1) Fan disengagement from the game itself was more glaring than the booing.
2) Night games after people have been tailgating all day will typically result in more raucous behavior...so if that is the case yet fans were more disengaged...that says a lot.
People are BORED watching this team play...I was and many comments in the game thread alluded to that sentiment as well.
Otherwise...
I would be more worried about 4 games in a row of a mediocre offense impacting recruits more than drunk fans booing.
This IS MC's philosophy. It is year 4 and we have seen the same approach with Herbert, Shough and Brown. He is not installing anything...it is already installed.

I need to bite my tongue on my feelings on this, just like the attending fans should have done.
