Should the Ducks be favored by 14 against WSU?
They're certainly capable of covering the spread.
WSU has been a tough out in recent years even at home. ML is long gone, but WSU's offense is still dangerous. On top of that it's surprising to see them surge after losing the HC and 3 assistants.
The Pac 12 After Dark games or as Ken Goe would say "after bedtime" games have been very unpredictable.
You could also talk about a trap game after last week.
All that being said I'm very confident the Ducks will win, but don't except a blowout or an easy game.

Expect to stay up late and expect less than stellar play. Conditions will favor the Cougs, who have an "us against the world" mentality with nothing to lose. Early in the season the Ducks did well in the first quarter and in the fourth, right now they are starting slow... Not sure if this is due to predictability of the offense that defenses are taking advantage of, but starting slow has the net effect of giving the opponent momentum and confidence and dragging mismatches into second half battles.
All my crying in the hanky being done, still think the Ducks pull away but not covering the spread (hope I am wrong aboiut the spread)...

I doubt we win by 14. Either it will be a one score game which we could either win or lose, or we beat them by 3 TDs or more. IMO. If we bring it from the start, we win big, if we don't, it's a dog fight.

I don't think Oregon should be favored by 14 over any team. Their propensity to live up to Cristobal's "everything is a battle" mindset, eliminates any "gas pedal to the floor" approach.
They play like they are coached and MC's approach does not embrace blowing the opponent off the field.
Otherwise since many of us migrated from OLive, you might find this post by James Crepea interesting...

a very good article from Crepea that @DucksReign linked just above; well, the good parts mostly come from the Spokane beat writer and not Crepea.
Cougs have won four P-12 games in a row. they've got a lot of upperclassmen. coming off a bye week. beat Oregon in Autzen tomorrow night, and then it's 1-win Zona and a rudderless UW to win the P-12 North and play for a Rose Bowl berth (wouldn't that be a story).
Coug defense has been feasting on turnovers, so the Ducks can't give them anything.
I like Oregon's chances tomorrow. our secondary is getting healthy and will contain the pass game, giving our Front-7 a chance to work. Brown is as up-and-down as any UO QB I've ever seen (only thing close was Akili), but he's been able to zing that quick out or bubble screen pretty consistently this year. if he can get the ball to Devon, Micah, or even Redd on the perimeter w numbers, we'll eat some yards, and that will help the run game as well.
weather is supposed to be dry and unseasonably warm. I'll be at our tailgate spot outside the Serba by 5 pm. looking forward to partying with some hard-partying Coug fans--still the best in the P-12.
whole situation sets up for another dose of Marioball. close for three quarters, but finally Oregon 34, Washington St 17.

I had an old roommate that was a Cougs fan that grew up in Eastern WA. He's an easy going and polite guy. The exact opposite of a Huskies fan!
Have fun at the game. I don't think I'll make one this year. I have family in Eugene and have gone and spent the night there and taken the shuttle from the mall to Autzen in past occasions. It would be fun to tallgate sometime.
