I don’t watch gonzaga games, but I keep hearing and reading about how great of a coach M Few is. I also hear that he get’s blue chip recruits. Why are they not able to win THE tournament?

If the only measure of success is National Championships...which he has reached twice and lost both times...I guess he is ?
Otherwise he consistently recruits well; his teams usually do well in the NCAA Tournament...he has made the NCAA Tournament every year he has been a head coach...not bad for a guy born in Creswell, OR who has taken a mid-major program to an elite D1 level at a school of like 7,000 students.
John Calipari has won ONE National Championship at Kentucky and he recruits blue chip classes every year. Ditto with only one National Championship for
Bill Self at Kansas; Tom Izzo at Michigan State and Jim Boeheim at Syracuse.
National Championships are VERY DIFFICULT to win in football and basketball. In football active head coaches can be counted on one hand; in basketball maybe two hands.
