The more things change the more they stay the same!
Miami had 27 first downs and no TD'sπ There were 4 trips to the red zone resulting in 3 FG'sπ
My favorite comment from the link is...
"Dan Lanning went for a 4th and 1 on his own 30 today, up 10.
Mario Cristobal punted with 3 min left in a game down 8"

Classic Mario game for sure.Β
I'm guessing we would've lost by about 3 to BYU if he was coaching.Β

Same complaints all over Twitter. Many are blaming the OC and absence of Respreto (with him in the game we win!), but theyβll learn.
One Duck fan told them to heβd win many games but still feel frustrated - I thought that summed things up quite well.

No question last year was the most frustrating 10 win season I've ever suffered through

Ten wins. Funny how the Stanford and two Utah losses create a sense of losing more games than we actually did.

Looking at their boards the fans are split:
1/2 are telling everyone to settle the F down and "trust the process"
1/2 are screaming about a timeout in the early third quarter and that their QB now sucks
That happened fast...Β

4 losses if you count the Alamo Bowl.
At least for me it was never the number of losses(or wins) but the manner of how it happened.
Because even in victory they often didn't look good. I have yet to talk to anyone who thought last year was a fun watch save the win over the luckeyes.
I remember a key stat late in the season...first game against Utah... where it was noted Oregon had a total of 5 pass plays over 40 yards up to that point...being the end of my tolerance of Cristobal's physicality and process mantras.
Perhaps 1 litmus test is how many offensive skill position players...QB, RB, WR and TE... followed Cristobal from Oregon to Miami? Answer: Zero
I don't believe the players themselves were having fun last year either.

I agree with this, and my feeling is good for him he got to go home, and good for us he's gone and we have Lanning. Win Win!

I heard an interview today with Matt Smith, who does the play-by-play for the Chargers (go Jags this weekend!). He said that He said that Cristobal was seriously detrimental to Herbert's draft stock and appraisal, and even said that he was given a Ferrari and never got it out of second gear.
Man, how many times did we lament that? It's great to see Justin and Marcus both starting and playing well. I'm so impressed by the talent we have put into the league. Holland is going to be an all-pro this year in Miami...
Go Ducks!

Nobody defines that more than Mark Helfraud. At least Cristobal's dismantling of the program was mostly about underachieving.
Helfraud took a Ferrari and in 4 years it was in the junkyard with a last place finish in the Division and the worst record in the previous 25-years for an Oregon team.

That Rose Bowl win, though...three rushing touchdowns!
But I feel you. legit gripes...
