Wisconsin fired Paul Chryst after starting 2-3 despite a winning record EVERY season...
(copy / paste from an article)
"Chryst, 56, who was born in Madison, finishes 67-26 in seven-plus seasons at Wisconsin, his alma mater. He won 10 games or more in four of his first five seasons with the Badgers, winning a Cotton Bowl, an Orange Bowl and three Big Ten West Division titles. But the program fell off beginning in 2020, going 4-3, before a slow start to the 2021 season, in which the Badgers finished 9-4."

Yep. Pretty sad, imo. Buffs need a new HC as well. Wonder if Chryst might get a call from Nebraska?

They did that dude wrong. Firing him mid-season after a pretty darn good record in a tough conference. Only thing that would change my perception here is if he were fired for cause.
Dorrell was hired to be fired, that program and university not terribly committed to football anymore. If the P12 broke up, they would find life better in the B12...

I think Colorado needs to hire someone who has head coaching experience. They can't afford for someone to learn on the job.
I would definitely have a conversation with Chryst. Also it begs the question, "What about Scott Frost?"
I think Nebraska is the problem more than Frost was.
I checked and the last 5* recruit who signed at Nebraska, according to Rivals, was Baker Steinkuhler an OL in 2008!!! Nobody wants to play in Nebraska.
But IF Colorado wants to get a successful head coach like Chryst, he is going to demand commitments / promises. Good coaches don't take jobs to take jobs.

There are a lot of stories coming out about Frosty. This is just one article. If this stuff is true, he won't be getting a good job anytime soon. Guess we'll learn more as time goes on. I really doubt Chryst would take the Buffs job: more likely to go to Nebraska, imo.

How about Bryan Harsin? Predictions are flying he’ll be fired any day now.
