I came away from the last game against the Wildcats impressed by Fisch and the team's effort. They dented the Duck D and played hard to the final whistle. With better players on offense including a very mobile QB in de Laura, they will give the Duck D fits again. Like the game against Wazzu, this may end up being a shootout to the finish. If this is the case, then things like penalties become magnified. Nothing kills momentum like a stop on third down just to have a dead ball foul called to address taunting or unnecessary roughness. Lanning and Co. have to keep their foot on the gas and the guys like Nix and Sewell neeed to lead that charge on both sides of the ball. No gimme games on the schedule anymore. Get out in front big, stay out in front and then get those twos in there when the clock is working in your favor...

Agree. This game will be a shootout , and we'll need TDs instead of FGs. Our LBs are not doing a good job of covering the short middle: I expect to see a lot of crossing routes underneath. Always a tough place to play.

Agreed, guarding top receivers seems a weakness at this point.
Bucky and company should be able to run the ball well. The Ducks have the best running stats in the Pac to this point.
I think this should be a win, but I'm still trying to figure out the Ducks.
It will be a good week to see how the Ducks can learn from mistakes and limit penalties.
