I think both the NFL and college officiating have backed themselves into a corner with the whole protecting the QB and targeting rules.
It is getting more ridiculous by the week.
Lots of people think NIL, the Transfer Portal, high coaching salaries, etc. will ruin college football...for me it is the officiating which will make it unwatchable(in combination with instant replay) before anything else.

You pretty much can't tackle the QB without a targeting call as a potential outcome. They understandably want to protect QB's, but it's getting out of hand.
The Pac refs continue to be really inconsistent. They typically call too much. The other problem is there reviews and discussions seemingly take way than in other conferences.
