Re: Transfer Portal Thread

Not a portal, but a decommit from the latest class. Sounds like distance and family issues..

Re: Transfer Portal Thread

That is a big kid! I used a to think anyone over 6’5” or so would be a basketball player. More importantly it’s a position of need. Offensive lineman are typically sparse in the portal. I saw that Isiah’s stats have significantly improved every year.

Re: Transfer Portal Thread

Dunno, the Wilson decommit should not hurt much...the wide receiver room of the Ducks is loaded. Moore coming in from Texas and Evan Stewart maybe returning may have been a factor. You can only throw the ball to so many receivers during a game. Wilson will certainly get playing time with the Gators or Canes if they get a decent quarterback. I like where we're at overall. This year looks bright and so does the future. GO DUCKS!

I agree that the position group is the one you can afford to lose a 5 star. We already have the top WR commit. There's a good chance him or one of the other receivers would enter the portal after redshirting. It's also an easier position to find in the portal. The freed up NIL money can be used on the portal or to keep a current player around.

Re: Transfer Portal Thread

It makes sense considering DL recruited him to begin with. He's maybe not as proven as some of the portal player, but should have a lot of potential.

USC is turning into a dumpster fire right now. Can you believe they signed Lincoln Riley to a 10 year contract. I can't say I feel bad for them as their fan base always wants to count their chickens before they hatch when it comes to hires and perceived dominance over the Ducks.

Re: Transfer Portal Thread

this is a great get for Lanning and UO. watched him play in Autzen last year; big space-eater w a motor. Bucky and Jordan did most of their running off-tackle and to the perimeter. SC has apparently induced a 350-lb nose tackle to transfer from UGA to fill the hole.

SC has been in steady decline since the sanctions or the early 2010s. they've ignored the O and D lines and touted all their flashy, future-NFL gets at receiver or corner. sat in Autzen on a cold, sunny day in 2015 and watched BigPlayVA throw for 6 TDs and avg 20 yards per completion. he had all day. Duck D planted Cody Kessler at least five times. representative of SC Football this past decade.

Tommy has won one Rose Bowl since 2008 (52-49 v Penn St) and one conf championship w three losses (got crushed by tOSU in the Cotton Bowl). Lincoln Riley's brand of all-O-no-D Big12 football is not going to get it done in the B1G.

already looking forward to Tommy's visit to Autzen Nov 22 2025.

Re: Transfer Portal Thread

A QB just signed has entered the portal; sounds like he saw Moore throw and decided he wasn't going to start, so off to the portal he went.
