The No. 7 Oregon Ducks (9-1, 6-1 Big Ten) face the No. 15 USC Trojans (8-2, 6-1 Big Ten) at 12:30 p.m. PST in Autzen Stadium.

The weather is surprisingly dry and will be turning from cloudy to sunny with  a high around 50 degrees. 
 
A win for Oregon would put them one win away from a playoff berth, while a USC victory would significantly boost their chances, though a loss would likely eliminate them from playoff contention.

Pete Thamel reports on College Game Day that Dakorien Moore and Gary Bryant Jr. are not expected to play. There still is an outside chance that Evan Stewart makes his return. We'll probably see a lot of 2 TE sets and Benson get a lot of catches today. The Trojans are also expected to be without key starters, including safeties Bishop Fitzgerald and Kamari Ramsey, as well as starting left tackle Elijah Paige, according to reports.

Game Details: The matchup is the 65th meeting between the former Pac-12 rivals, with USC holding a 39-23-2 series lead but Oregon winning the last two meetings in Eugene.
 The game is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. PST at Autzen Stadium and will be televised on CBS, with live streaming available via Paramount+.

Key Storylines: Oregon's dominant defense, ranked first nationally in pass defense (127.3 yards allowed per game) and third in total defense, faces a USC offense ranked second in yards per play and fifth in points per drive. Conversely, USC's defense, while improved, ranks 43rd in pass defense and has struggled against elite rushing attacks.

Player Impact: Dante Moore has been efficient, completing 72.8% of his passes for 2,190 yards and 21 touchdowns, while the Ducks' rushing attack, led by Noah Whittington and Jordon Davison, ranks second nationally in yards per rush (6.33).
 USC's quarterback Jayden Maiava has thrown for 2,868 yards and 18 touchdowns, with elite wide receivers Makai Lemon (1,090 yards, 8 TDs) and Ja’Kobi Lane (585 yards, 4 TDs) posing a significant threat.
Injury Notes: Oregon's receiving corps has been impacted by injuries, with Dakorien Moore and Gary Bryant Jr. both questionable for the game.
 
USC's defense will need to contain Oregon's balanced attack, particularly their high-efficiency rushing game, which has averaged 233.6 yards per game and 6.33 yards per carry.
Conversely Oregon will  need to slow down USC's pass game and hopefully get some presser on Maiava. This will be a good opportunity for the secondary to improve before the playoffs as Oregon really hasn't had to face a lot of good quarterbacks this season.  

It seems like a lot of Lincoln Riley's great offensive teams falter late in the season when it matters most. To their credit USC does have a better defense than most years although they've taken a little step back this year. I did watch Northwestern run the ball on them pretty well in the first half.
