There is a good chance that the Ducks will play Indiana again if both teams win their final game. I don't think Michigan will beat OSU and if OSU wins the BIG10 championship game against Indiana and are still ranked #2, and the Ducks win their home game in the playoffs, they could see Indiana again in the quarterfinals! Revenge game!
On another note, I laughed when Lanning made reference to not playing Chattanooga State, a direct stab at SEC for playing high school teams at this time of year. They have been doing it for years and use it as a way to rest their starters before the real games start. Probably never change.

I just looked up who Georgia plays next week and it's "The Yellowjackets" lol. We should start scheduling games against the Idaho Vandals or quite frankly beavis and the end of the year.
I just would be glad not to play Ohio State in one of the first 2 playoff games. I'm not sure if Miami will even get in, but I'd love to see DL go up against Mario.

SEC is finally moving to nine conference games beginning next year. long overdue, still don't know if they'll be playing The Citadel and Georgia State in late November.
Lanning's 'Chattanooga State' dig percolated across the country this weekend. was on top of the sidebar list on the ESPN College Football page for a while. he spoke for a lot of people--B1G, ACC, Big12. The SEC and its honks are going to try to sneak five or even six teams into this year's playoff.
not much hope for Auburn upsetting Bama nor MissSt winning the Egg Bowl. we need A&M to nail the coffin on a three-loss Texas team. doubt LSU has enough juice left to upset Jokelahoma in Norman.
best thing that could happen is A&M defeating Bama in the SEC Champ game . . . would a three-loss Bama still make the playoff? that will be a noise-fest if it happens.
just got an email from the UO AD. we will be able to order tics for our current Autzen seats if the Ducks play host to a first-round playoff game. surprising good news. in the past--like the Pac12 Championship game v 6-6 UCLA--we were allowed to order much worse tics at a much higher price. also can order our parking passes for the playoff, although location might change.

Good reporting, OMM! Latest news Kiffin going to Alabama and DeBore going to Florida!! Bwahaha! Rearranging the chairs on the Titanic!! Either way, Ducks in a good place and just have to win the last game of the season. I'm confident. GO DUCKS!

It's wild to think about a coach ready to enter the playoffs in the 5 or 6 spot and doing interviews to leave his job. I guess I shouldn't be surprised with the way college football is now or how Lane seems to be a bit nomadic.
I'm sure everyone else heard about Chip. He's probably done in the NFL. I thought he'd at least make it to the end of the season. He'll most likely have to take a demotion from the Ohio State job he left. It looks like his best career work will always be with the Ducks. I mean, I think most of us on the site would've had success calling plays with the offense they had last year.
I didn't know Wilcox was in the hot seat, but I didn't Riverboat Ron was at the helm in Cal either. Now there's all kinds of rumors like Wilcox going to the beavs or one of the Ducks coordinators going to Cal.
Modern day life in college football.

Currently the Ducks would play Miami at #6. I would absolutely love this matchup. There's a good chance the Ducks and Miami might move spots, but let's hope they don't.
Who's rooting for Ohio State this weekend? It's hard to say you want them to win. It's just that with all the injuries I really rather not see them have to play a championship like last year. What a system in that you rather miss the championship game and not get the first seed like last year.
