It's only 24 days until college baseball starts.  It's good to have something to fall back on since the basketball team is in a death spiral.  The Ducks opponent is the Xavier Musketeers.  I was a bit surprised to see the games are in Eugene.  It's still winter and the weather will be cold, wet and rainy.  Why can't they start the season in the south where it's warm?  It's a four game series with a doubleheader played on Saturday, Feb. 18th.  I took a look at the D 1 Baseball website and was shocked to see our Ducks ranked at # 25 in the pre-season poll.  Good for them.  In the PAC-12, Stanford is ranked # 3, UCLA # 17.  That's the only PAC-12 teams that are ranked at the moment.
