Man, this one freaking hurts!
I thought he was an outstanding RB coach. He's been really underpaid since he's been here, and I don't know why. Even with the extension he just signed a week or two ago I was concerned.
Really bad timing with Spring ball starting followed by the transfer portal opening up. And to top it all off, Carlos has intimate knowledge of our offense and that could be a big advantage for them when we face them next year!!

Hopefully, no running backs follow him to OS. That would suck even more!

Under Lock our ball security really improved, but his RB rotations seemed to play favorites, and I didn't like his diss of Dowdell when he portaled. No way Bucky should have been carrying the ball as much as he did in the CCG. Lanning will get another good one, and if any RB leaves, there's always the portal. Not much you can do about Lock's knowledge of our offense; happens when any offensive coach leaves.

so four years ago he was high school liaison under Mike Norvell at Free Shoes, after working for three years under Norvell at Memphis in similar roles (changing out of his prison guard uniform). one year of RB coach at W Kentucky, and then two years at UO. and now RB coach at one of the premier programs in the country. definitely on an upward trajectory.
sounds like his buyout at UO just dropped, which facilitated the deal. Ryan Day is on shaky ground with some boosters and fans at tOSU after three consecutive losses to Michigan (tOSU won 15 of 16 between 2004 and 2019). he could be looking for a job again in a year or two. the Chipster, too.

Yeah, good points. I'm sure Dan the Man will hit a home run with the new hire.

The prison guard uniform is duly noted.
