Redd

From this morning's conference: Jaylon Redd is back with the team.

I'm glad to see he's back, just wonder what could have caused him to miss arguably the most important game of his career as a Duck thus far.

Re: Redd

I was worried he was gone for good after missing the Rose Bowl. Perhaps just a family thing unrelated to football.

Re: Redd

Aaron Fentress (now w The Athletic) wrote a piece just before the Rose Bowl about the 'Mother Duckers'; a group of Oregon Football Moms that included Jaylon Redd's mother. sounds like both she and her son are devoted to UO. I doubt that it was an academic or disciplinary thing, but who knows. let's hope that it's been resolved and he's back 100 percent--he can really do some damage w the ball in space.

I heard someone out there still read Fentress. Now I know who it is. 😀

loves me some Fentman. he was UO beat writer for The O back when the 'Willie Lyles scandal' broke, and about the only one onboard w any perspective or tranquility. he wrote a great piece on why Oregon engaged with scouting services in the first place--owing to Texas high school coaches and admins trying to erect a blockade around in-state prospects. meantime, Quick and Canzano were in hysterics and screaming for the end of the Oregon football program.

At least he's not Canzano or Quick, I'll give you that. Most of what he writes is fine. Some of it's pretty good. But occasionally he puts something up that APPEARS to be nothing more than an attempt to stir the pot...and it does stir.
