I remember Ken Goe writing about this. He said Oregon would be remiss if they didn’t consider Taggart for the job.
This was also back when he was saying Oregon shouldn’t fire Helfrich, they’d never find anyone any better, the window of opportunity for Oregon to be in the running for a Natty had probably closed, yada yada yada.
