Call them the dogs, fuskies, you name it "fill in the blank". What a way to wrap up the year with a chance to go undefeated and get the upper hand back on our rivals up north. For me the "fill in the blank" have always been more of a rival than the beavs.
Game Time: 4:30 PST on NBC
Line: Ducks -19.5
Weather: Sunny tailgate weather before the game kickoff coinciding with sunset in the mid to low 40s. Pretty nice for this time of year.
Tez is suppose to be back and the big news is Jahel Florence might finally be able to play. Of course we'll have to wait for the official injury report 2 hours before the game and then see who actually takes the field. Of course a number of questions remain including the status of Harper and Burch.
The "fill in the blank" team has played a lot worse on the road this year. They looked halfway decent when the played Michigan earlier this year when I watched them. This should be an easy win for the Ducks at home, but as we've seen this year top teams have lost to no name teams and that's why you play the game. I feel like the Ducks are playing for more than just a win and needing to prime the offense again going into the postseason. Of course this is DL's challenge to get the team not to look ahead and not think the game is in the bag, which is maybe the reason they came out flat last year against the "fill in the blank" team.
I have a lot going on so I'll try to update relevant stats or injury updates if I find the time. A lot of our regulars on here are probably at the game so I'm not sure if we'll have much of a chat. I'll be around so stop on by if you're watching on TV. Go Ducks!!!

I’ll be watching from afar and online!
The two-headed QB approach is interesting. A lot of blank fans seemingly rail against it, but maybe that’s because the blanks in general have struggled at times and the QB change is easy to bark at. I’m guessing Roger’s will start and Williams will come in for run options, but maybe that seems too obvious. Williams played well in their last comeback win, so maybe Fisch juggles it up and starts him. No matter, they will likely exhaust the playbook with sneaky options. Duck D needs to be ready for anything.
Dillon is always poised but needs more fire-in-the-belly for this game. If Tez is truly back (and in form) that might just provide the spark. Take what we get, stay patient (yah I know that’s not always Duck fan desire) work the run game, then let the deep ball go when they stack the box.

Working the run game sounds like a good idea. The blanks have a decent secondary, but have been pretty bad up front. The only thing is we probably don't want to bang James up too much. The Ducks have a decent RB bench and I wouldn't mind seeing some other players get some carries.
I haven't watched and read enough about their QB's to have a strong opinion on what they should be doing.
I'm bummed I didn't get tickets before the season started. A friend of mine had a friend with season tickets who said they would give us a game, because they probably wouldn't make all of them. Of course they ended up going to all the games with the way the season is going. I'll just have to not be a cheapskate and get tickets early for next year.

Michigan just took down fOSU on a field goal in the last minute. 13-10. Now a melee on the field ….
Sounds like fOSu is out of the B1G champ game!

Man, either Penn State or the Hoosiers...tOSU goes down!!!!

Wow, that's some serious drama. -23.5 underdogs and every single take I heard was that Michigan didn't have a chance.
That's why you play the game. I'm actually to play someone else even though I wouldn't mind beating tOSU again. They were already saying they would beat the Ducks and even Wilner was joining the bandwagon suggesting that they might be the number 1 team over the Ducks despite losing to them.

Sounds like Penn State. We are likely to see fOSu again.

Penn State could be a fun game with some offense. I think our defense can at least slow them down and our offense should be able to put up some points.

The official injury report is in.
Tez is playing and maybe Jordan Burch along with Harper being questionable. Jahlil Florence is a scratch, considering he hasn't played I wouldn't have expected him to start or anything.
Even with these official B1G reports you still don't if a lot of players will be in the game even if they are questionable.

I assume they're out of the playoffs then? It would've been fun to play them. I heard their schedule was pretty easy.

Not sure, I think they might still be in. Haven’t looked at the games below them.

With the way things change every week I haven’t put a lot of time into seeing all the scenarios yet. If the docs were playing for a 12th spot or something like that, I would’ve things are different this year and yet the same and that every year there’s going to be a lot of drama about who makes the last playoff spot.
