The Ducks are heading east for a couple of games this week. First up...the Ohio State Buckeyes! Besides the Huskies and Trojans who I enjoy seeing our Ducks beat, I've got to add the Buckeyes to my list. The game is this Thursday, January 9th at 3pm on the Big Ten Network. The line hasn't been posted yet but according to the ESPN matchup predictor OSU has a 62.5% chance for victory over Oregon's 37.5%. The Buckeyes have a 10-5 record and have been up and down this season. However, they have beaten Texas and Kentucky so they are the real deal. Maryland Terrapins who Oregon beat last week clobbered the Buckeyes 83-59.
The Penn State Nittany Lions sport a 12-3 record. They recently defeated the Purdue Boilermakers. The ESPN matchup predictor has them favored 53.7% to Oregon's 46.3%. Our Ducks certainly have their work cut out for them. This game is Sunday, January 12th at 1pm on the Big Ten Network.
The latest bracketology has Oregon as a # 3 seed, Ohio State # 9 and Penn State # 11. The NET rankings are Oregon # 20, Ohio State # 31 and Penn State # 48. T. J. Bamba and Brandon Angel have been struggling lately and they need to have a couple of good games this week if the Ducks have any chance at victory.
The Ducks are currently ranked # 15. Both OSU and Penn St. are not ranked. Go Ducks!

Unfortunately, I had a busy day and couldn’t watch yesterday‘s game, but I’m glad to see they got a W.
