New bracket released has the Duck men jumping to a #5 seed. Be interesting to see how far they can go in the conference tourney, but even if they win it I do not see them as higher than a #3 seed.

With the Ducks currently at a # 5 seed, I don't expect them to keep that ranking. Not only do they need to beat the Huskies on Sunday in Seattle, they will have a very difficult match-up in the B1G Ten Tournament. They are currently tied with Illinois for the 7th seed but the Illini hold the tie-breaker with their completely dominating win over the Ducks in Eugene by a score of 109-77. Simply brutal. The Ducks, playing in a funk during their five game losing streak to Minnesota and Nebraska is also inexcusable. OK, on to the B1G Ten tournament possibilities. Oregon has a microscopic chance of finishing in 5th place in the B1G Ten. The following schools are out of reach for the Ducks.
Michigan State, Michigan, Purdue and UCLA all beat Oregon, with the Bruins winning both games. Maryland and Wisconsin both have 12-6 records. Oregon beat both of these schools. Both schools would have to lose their last two games. Maryland at Michigan and at home against Northwestern. Not likely. Wisconsin would have to lose at Minnesota and at home to Penn St. So the top six seeds have been taken. For Oregon to take the 7th seed, they would have to beat the Huskies and Illinois would have to lose a home game to Purdue. It could happen. If this scenario plays out, Oregon would play the winner of the #10 vs. # 15 seed. If they end up with the 8th seed, they would play the 9th seed which could quite possibly be Indiana. The Hoosiers have a home game against Ohio St. If they prevail and Illinois wins their game against Purdue, it's the Ducks against the Hoosiers all over again.
And this would basically be a home game for them as its just 56 miles away. A most difficult match up. Go Ducks!

The Ducks are stuck going up against the Hoosiers Thursday. Like you said it’s basically going to be a home game for them. If they can win that it’s the rested #1 seed Michigan State coming off a bye. The Ducks mid-season meltdown is costing them now.
On the positive side they have 6 wins in a row going. I would think they’re in the tournament for sure? That’s assuming they don’t blow it today against the Huskies. *update I just looked it up on they should be a lock and some are even predicting a 5 seed Michigan State.
They’ve been fun to watch lately and would love to see the win streak continue.
