WCWS - OKC-bound
major props to Missy Lombardi for guiding this team through so much adversity and scrapping from behind. The Duck Never Quits. she even made The O cough up a long piece from one its many bevo beat-writers.
Oregon women on their way to the WCWS. Oregon women's golf (all frosh and sophs) went to semis of national championship before losing on 18th hole of final match to eventual champion Northwestern. Oregon baseball getting ready to play host to a Regional in PK Park next weekend. NCAA Outdoor championships coming to Hayward mid-June; Ducks men & women have horses in the race.

She was dealt a bad hand and didn't bat an eye after her first squad defected in waves. Since then, the program has weathered tons of roster turnover but has always remained competitive. With the liberal transfer portal and NIL affecting roster integrity these days, she is still fielding championship caliber teams and finally broke thru to the WCWS. Good on her and the AD for sticking to it.
