The takeaways are pretty much similar to last week. I don't have time to post all my thoughts so I'll just highlight a few things.
Dante still looks like the real deal. One big note to make is that he did go deep a few times, unlike against Montana State.
Speaking of Moore, Dakorien Moore looks like a top receiver. He seems like he's going to be a go to for the Ducks. Dante still spread the ball around.
Redzone offense once again was really good as I believe that scored 4 straight redzone touchdowns. This is actually a huge improvement from Dan Lanning's first year with the Ducks. I remember the Ducks getting cute and struggling on 1st and goal against teams like WSU.
I'm just going to combine all the same takeaways from last week in having a great RB room, blocking receivers, Sadiq looking good, the defensive and line looking good.
It's hard to split hairs with a 69-3 score. That said there were a few penalties. The Ducks failed to convert on that first 4th down conversion. Moving forward I hope not to see Dante diving head first and taking hits. He's not as big as Justin was and maybe not as slippery as the past couple QB's that often knew when to get down quick. Thanks goodness he came back. We think Austin is pretty good, but now he's hurt himself? Any updates on the matter?
Looking to next week can the Ducks do the same on the road?
The first 4 games looked relatively easy to start the year. Now after a couple weeks the Ducks opponents look even worse. Montana State lost to South Dakota State on Saturday. You wonder if OSU will win another game this year. Northwesters lost to a bad team the first week and now the Beavs are still winless after 2 games. This brings up the point that the Penn State game and then the following weeks game against Indiana will be huge. Iowa lost last week and doesn't look as good. It's possible that Penn State and Indiana could be Oregon's only ranked competition.
That's I'll I have time for now. Go Ducks!!!

Good analysis of the game again, Phil! Was on the way back from Sun River Saturday and thought, alright, I'll get to see part of the game at Redmond International! Lo and behold, they had a partial power outage and needed every outlet to feed the airline terminals! Cables everywhere! So no TV! So flew to Seattle, and to my surprise, they were not showing the Ducks game! What's wrong with those people? Got home to Florida at 2 AM local time so watched the recording Sunday morning. It was close there for a few seconds at the beginning, 0-0! It is early in the season, but a fine oiled machine is this edition! Really enjoyed Sun River for Its' beauty and serenity especially after Labor Day. Miss it much. Great weather and no smoke. Golf game still needs work. No alligators in the ponds was a bonus! Enough babbling!
I think the B10 is stronger than last year, especially the top 3. All SEC teams have struggled early so that is good news. I can see us going deep again this year, as long as we stay healthy. Just read the top running back for NWestern is injured and out for the year. Keep up the good work, Phil. I really enjoy your weekly assessments. GO DUCKS!

Hey FD, I'm glad you had such a great vacation. Same for the air clearing and of course for the locals dealing with it. Sun River really is a special place. I remember going there as a kid and hiking around some of the black rocks from the lava and feeling like it was a different planet or something. It sounds like Murphy's Law in full effect for trying to watch the game on the way back. I had a similar experience traveling in Colorado a while back with nobody wanting to show the Ducks versus Huskies game.
I hadn't heard about the RB injury for NWestern. I never want to see any players out with injury even if it's the opposing team.
Welcome home as it sounds like this Saturday will be the first home viewership game. As we were talking in the Beavs kickoff time the earlier kicks must be especially enjoyable for you being in EST. I couldn't imagine staying up for one of those Pace 12 after dark games. Heck, I used to have a tradition of falling asleep for those games during the second half😂

I do not think it is a stretch to say the Ducks are the best team in the nation right now. After two games, they have handled business and then some even as they went down the depth chart. A game on the road in a weird environment will be more telling, but I still think Northwestern will get boat raced. Civil War at home might only be interesting if they tarmac Bray after their TTU game. Penn State will be tough, but more winnable than maybe originally thought based on how PSU is looking today.
Regarding Saturday, the Pokes didn't show up. Gundy is out shortly as he cannot adapt and figure out the portal and how to manage the new player personalities. Ducks were beyond efficient with the spotlight on Moore and Moore being as advertised.
Traveling this weekend and won't see the game on Saturday, looking forward to catching the highlights on YT...

I agree that it looks like the Ducks are one of the best teams in the nation.
To correct myself I made an oversight by forgetting about USC who has looked really good and is ranked. As of lately you kind of expect USC to derail, but i hear non-biased sources say they look like the real deal.
