Welcome to the earliest game in a good minute. Can the Ducks keep up the juice on the road against another inferior opponent? This should be an easy win, it's just can the Ducks did what they did in the first 2 games. Another thing to note it that Noah is questionable. I would think we'd see more of the Ducks very talented RB room.
Today's game is the first conference meeting between the two schools since 1974 and marked Oregon's first road game of the 2025 season. The Ducks lost 14-10.
Northwestern, with a 1-1 record, had won their previous game 42-7 against Western Illinois.
Broadcast and Streaming: FOX and regular streaming sources like Fubo
Betting Odds: Oregon by 28.5 points, over/under set at 48.5 points.
Injury Report Ducks: Noah Whittington, Austin Novosad, Kawika Rogers, Theran Johnson, Dylan Williams, and Brayden Platt are listed as Questionable and Dillon Gresham and Trey McNutt are listed as Out.
Injury Report Northwestern: Northwestern listed 9 players as questionable: Nigel Glover LB, Jack Bailey OG,, Damon Walters CB, Jace Borcherding OG, Migo Jackson DL, Frank Covey IV WR, Tyler Kielmeyer TE, Nathaniel Campbell LB, Caden O’Rourke DL. Of course the big news around Northwestern this week was that star Running Back Cam Porter is now out for the season.
Northwestern's Challenges: The Wildcats, who began the season with a 23-3 loss to Tulane and a 42-7 win over Western Illinois, are rebuilding under head coach David Braun. They are without starting running back Cam Porter, who suffered a season-ending leg injury.. Their defense is solid against the pass allowing 131 yards. The Ducks might run the ball a lot although I'm sure they'll get some big plays again.

On board and in front of the TV. In my younger days my mug would be full but only part way with coffee. Ah, the good old days!
GO DUCKS !!

Same, I remember starting real early at some morning tailgates back in college. It's all coffee till maybe a light beer towards the end of the game.

Northwestern's is looking pretty good, which is supposed to be their strength. I was thinking the Ducks would've tried to run more to start.

That pick turned things around. D line was getting pushed around a bit, but Boettcher took care of that. Had a chance earlier too.

I think it’s good for the ducks to face a little adversity with Northwestern‘s decent secondary. They definitely won’t be putting up 69 points today.

A little help on that stop, but I’ll take it. First sack, need that to get the D fired up. Lupoi needs to adjust on safety coverage if they want to close down the run.

Agreed, I bet Northwestern saw something on film with that one good drive that Oklahoma State had running the ball.

Dakorien definitely seems like he’s going to be the number one receiver option.

I like how Dante can still make throws under pressure. I mean, he may be a pocket QB but he can scramble around and extend plays.

Darn it, those were just the players I was talking about that I didn’t want to see Dante diving head first to pick up a few yards. It’s not worth taking hits like that.

Another week of annoying announcers. Don’t get me wrong. The camera work has been better than the old Pac 12 and the ESPN after dark productions.

Not surprisingly, there was a little bit of a letdown on energy and lack of focus today. The run defense is certainly something to clean up before Penn State. The offensive still looked top notch. I believe Dante threw his first pick today and picked a good time to do it.
