Penn State is the favorite by 3.5, but I believe the line moved a point after the Ducks played the Beavs yesterday. The Ducks are also still at number 6 in the AP. I thought they might move up a spot, but whatever. It's a lot better for them to go into the game having a chip on their shoulder.
Just like the Ducks Penn State hasn't played anyone good and had a bye yesterday. A few comments from their fans do express some concerns. While their defense is good their QB isn't that accurate and they're impressed and concerned by Dante.
I like how the Ducks finished yesterday, but the Beavs getting the run going early like Northwestern is a little concerning. With Penn State's defense being so good who wouldn't want a situation on the road were their D gets a couple 3 and outs and their run game can't be stopped.
For the first time this year I'm actually interested in learning about the opposing team. I can't wait until next week.
The other big takeaway from yesterday is that Indiana State blew Illinois out of the water in a way nobody expected. The Ducks have to turn around and play them the following week.
Can the Ducks beat Penn State and then take care of Indiana State? I think they're capable and we'll have to see how they step up to better competition. Go Ducks!!!

PSU is going to be tough- very tough- at home. Their DC was the DC at Ohio State last season and while he may not have the players, he will have the blueprint to beating the Duck offense.
The 1's and 2's are going to have to be ready to play all 60 minutes. More snaps, more chances to wear down the opponent.
Indiana stunned everyone with that beat down. Illinois is not that bad and IU is not that good, though, but Bielema did not have his team ready to play and got punched and punched again and played essentially with a boot on their neck all day. Great to have this all on tape before the Ducks play 'em...

I agree Indiana looked good, but Illinois was over-rated IMO. Ducks get a bye after PSU, so should be ready, plus the Hoosiers have to come to Autzen. My biggest concern is the noise factor for Dante; if he handles that environment, Ducks win.
