Whatcha watching today?

It's hard to believe it's been a whole week since we beat Penn State. Now we're left high and dry waiting for another Ducks game.

My original thought was I'd like to see how Penn State looks. However, I don't think I'll care to see them play another cup cake in UCLA. It's beyond me how a B1G team can make it through this weekend with only playing 1 good team.

Miami vs. Florida State might be my game of choice at 4:30. I want to see if Miami really looks as good as people are talking about. I saw just a little bit of when they opened against Notre Dame and barely won. Wouldn't it be something if the Ducks faced Miami in the playoffs?

What games are you interested in today?

Hi Phil
I'm currently watching Wisconsin-Michigan.  I'll probably take a look at Texas-Florida later on today and definitely will be watching to see if Maryland can knock off the Huskies.  I will check out Michigan St - Nebraska, too.  I'd love to see the Spartans beat the Cornhuskers  just to irritate Beaver fans.  Miami-Florida St. will be interesting to see.

Re: Whatcha watching today?

Good article in our newspaper this morning ( Yes us old folks in a retirement community still like the paper) about Texas quarterback Manning and Florida's Lagway. Manning was the nation's top quarterback coming out in 2023 and Lagway was the top one in 2024.

Here's a stupid quote from Sark:
"I'm looking around the country at the high profile players, I don't know if any of them are living up to what everybody said they were supposed to be!" Is he back on the booze? Ever heard of Dante Moore? Is he saying it's OK to be mediocre? WOW, glad he's not our coach.

I'm definitely pulling for the Gators just because of what he said. So glad we got Donte and Lanning as that quote would never come from Lanning. GO Ducks and Gators just for today only!

I caught a little bit of the Maryland vs. Huskies game and I can't believe they lost. They were in the drivers seat the whole game.

Sark a decent coach, however he's never come off as a great guy to me. What a stupid thing to say. You're right that Lanning would never say something like that.

Re: Whatcha watching today?

I can't believe UCLA beat Penn State. I mean that's their first win? I was doing some work in my garage and catching the fuskies vs. Maryland game and got a text from my friend that UCLA might win. I thought he was joking. I've never had a problem with UCLA so I was rooting for them as an under dog and their QB seems likeable from what I've seen from them. Unfortunately that wasn't good for the Ducks strength of schedule. I can't imagine Penn State will recover and make the playoffs or be ranked by the end of the year. Next weeks game against Indiana might mean a lot more than we thought.
