Welcome to what is now the biggest game of the Ducks season and the biggest game in college football. Have the Ducks ever had 2 College Game Day's in a row? I'm getting stuff done and don't care for Pat McAfee so I won't be watching. I plan to watch the highlights of when Sabrina is on the show though.
Game Details: 12:30 PM PST at Autzen Stadium on CBS and also streams on Paramount+.
Team Records: Both teams enter the game undefeated in the 2025 season with 5-0 records, and both are 2-0 in Big Ten play.
Key Players: Indiana's Fernando Mendoza has thrown for 1,208 yards with 16 touchdowns and one interception in five starts, while his primary receivers, Omar Cooper Jr. and Elijah Sarratt, have combined for 820 yards and 12 touchdowns.
Injury Reports: Indiana has significant injuries, with wide receiver Tyler Morris and running back Lee Beebe Jr. out for the season, and cornerbacks D. Ponds and B. Baldwin Jr. listed as questionable.
Oregon has multiple players listed as questionable, including wide receivers Jack Ressler, Dillon Gresham, and Kenyon Sadiq, while Makhi Hughes is redshirting and several others are out. The big ? is Sadiq. I was concerned, but then hopeful that Sadiq came back in the game after that injury against Penn State. He's actually the one who blazed down the field to make the tackle on the inception after that injury. I'm really hoping he'll be a go.
Predictions: The SP+ model projects a 30-23 Oregon victory, giving the Ducks a 65% chance to win.
The Data Skrive model estimates a 74.2% win probability for Oregon and an implied score of Ducks 30, Hoosiers 23.
BetMGM predicts an Oregon win and cover, favoring the Ducks by 7.5 points.
With all the talk of rain all week as of now it just looks cloudy with a chance of a stray shower in Eugene.
I think a lot of our regulars on here are literal lucky Ducks and attending the game today. Regardless I'll be around to chat if anyone else is. Go Ducks!!!

I caught the end of the first half in the Illinois vs. Ohio State game. Ohio State's defense looks better than last year. The thing is though, I just don't think Illinois has enough speed and power to compete with the top teams. They started out ranked in the top 10 because they brought back so many players. However, other teams like the Ducks are bringing in explosive freshman, which is lacking for Illinois.
I just saw UCLA is up 24-7! Good for them. Maybe the new coaches where just what they needed.

First half thoughts:
This is a another classic B1G style of game with every yard being hard fought.
We haven't seen the O-line tested like this yet.
Indiana's defense and play call are both top notch.
Noah doesn't look like he should be the starting RB.
Dante Moore does so well with the big throws.
Both teams have made some bad penalties.
Perhaps my underlying lack of trust in field goals was not unfounded. Indiana makes to 58 yarder's on the road and we can't make a chip shot at 36.
The Ducks should be up, kinda like I felt against Penn State in the first half.

Hard hitting game, but Moore is not seeing the field very well so far; several open recievers he missed. Gotta get tougher.

With the way Indiana is defending the Ron. I think the ducks are gonna have to air this out.

Dante is having such a tough time with the constant pressure getting to him. Barring another pick 6 this game is not looking good.

Indiana looked like the better team today even though the Ducks had some ways they could’ve won. I’m still feeling good about the ducks odds against their upcoming opponents.

They were the better team today. We needed a much better game from Dante than we got. He did not see multiple open recievers all day, was slow to get rid of the ball, and yes, he was pressured, but he could have thrown the ball away instead of running into a sack. What does not kill you makes you stronger, so let this be a learning experience and move forward. Losing this game won't drop us out of the top 10, so get back to work and run the table.

This game felt rigged to me. The refs/league clearly allowed a strong defensive team to get the edge in that department. With favorable calls or no calls. Conversely, the Ducks were not quite given that same advantage. I really feel that Oregon should have won this by 6. Oregon can win out. But my gut and my eyes tell me the fix was in. I hope college ball is not corrupt as NFL football, but I've been noticing that trend the last 5 years or so. Just let 'em play and let the best team win without agendas and rigging outcomes. Just call a fair and clean game. That really shouldn't be too tough todo, but we increasingly live in a fake world. So a guy like me who clings to that last refuge of sports in a world gone mad, is now ready to throw the towell in on big time competitive sports as a waste of my time.
Sorry I blew up like that but that kind of reality grates on me. As my wife and I make preparations to head down toour Puerto Vallarta home next to the Bay of Banderas and enjoy 6 months of easy livin'.

Luckily with the new College Playoff expansion the Ducks can still get in. Enjoy your time down in Puerto Vallarta. I still keep in tough with an old coworker that retired in Mexico and loves being their.

Yep we've been enjoying PV since before the pandemic. Got a nice condo before the prices exploded.
Yeah, I also think UofO gets into the playoffs. But I'm just wondering, when is Oregon going to actually get some lovin' ? I can begrudgingly accept that there is rigging in sports, that's the kind of world we live in.
So when is Oregon's Billionaire benefactor, who is no spring chicken going to get in cahoots with the other members of the "old boys network" and see to it that Oregon gets to the Promised Land, achieving a major milestone. They've paid their dues for 25 years on the national stage only to come up short and disrespected periodically along the way. In a corrupt system ya gotta go for it.
Phil Knight is a great guy who knows how to play the game of life. Maybe he needs to learn some secret handshakes or something!
