Mariota - How can you not love this guy?

Mariota will be a free agent in less than two months and it will be interesting to see where he ends up.  I think he's an amazing ball player, but I can't help but wonder if his future is in coaching.

In this day-and-age of the primadonna athlete who kicks the dirt when they're not the center of attention, it's refreshing to see Mariota continue on his path of awesomeness.  He's definitely a team player and many NFL teams would be fortunate to have him.

Yep, still my favorite Duck of all time. When all's said and done, football's still a game and the real world is much more complicated and important than any game. I'm a fan of Mariota the man first...and Mariota the football player second. Pure class.

Agree that Mariota is a classy player. Herbert is of the same mold.  Best thing for Herbert would be to go to a team that gives him a chance to learn behind a proven vet.

One thing that is a common trait for all the great quarterbacks is they held their teammates accountable.  The Bradys and the Brees get in the faces of teammates that miss their assignments. Was not the case for Harrington and Mariota when they were getting killed behind lousy front lines. Both Mariota and Herbert need to get over the nice guy traits and get on their teammates when they screw up. A little more yelling would help them both advance their careers.
