Takeaways:
Let's hope we don't have another FS1 broadcast with Tim Brando. He might be my new number 1 least favorite announcer.
Brock Thomas is most certainly QB #2. There's no more reason to question it. The players carried him off the field and he most certainly has the support of the team after going 4 for 4. Moga's arm seemed a little wild and it's Austin's absence that seems to confuse us. But who doesn't love an underdog story? The kid can throw.
The O-line didn't have a good game. They seem to do well against inferior defenses and then have issues with fast pass rushers.
This one is related to the O-line in that when they miss blocks Dante doesn't always do well under pressure. On a number of plays he didn't seem to even pick up on the pressure and ways taking sacks from his blindside.
First quarter struggles on offense continue and Stein seems like a big part of the problem. Good defenses in Penn State, Indiana, and now Wisconsin have led to single digit points in the first half. Teams aren't fooled by screen passes and check-downs with passes that go sideways near the line of scrimmage. Against inferior defenses, the Ducks can use their athleticism to make plays. I'd like to see the Ducks be able to establish the run up the middle and have Dante be a threat to throw deep. It's like opposing defenses can just stack the box on pounce on very predictable plays that lead to third and longs.
At this point, the defense at least seems more predictable. Although they still have a red zone issue and struggle to get stops in short-yardage situations.
The Ducks are playing well on the road, but home-field advantage seems to be helping them less than expected from an energy standpoint.
Jordan Davison looked great, and I'm glad he's getting plays early in the game now.
Questions:
Can Stein change the plays up to get the Ducks going early against good defenses?
Can the Ducks come out strong after a bye week?
Can Dante start to operate better under pressure?
Are the Ducks planning on not kicking field goals the rest of the year?
What are your takeaways and questions?

The Duck defense is legit. Not legendary, but able to get the ball back to the offense without giving up points. Special Teams also very good- that punter is a talent. The offense is a mess. The O-Line is not pushing around the defenders like recent lines and as the line goes, the offense follows. Thomas is a nice story, but something is afoot in the QB room.
My replies:
Stein has hit his ceiling. Decent but not innovative or creative. Good defenses are feasting on his offense. Indiana kicked the shit out of Oregon and if not for a P6 this would be a larger issue with the MMQB's like me.
Yes. Get healthy and watch the film and start narrowing that depth chart to who will carry this team into the (hopefully) playoff.
TBD. Against good defenses he is looking like the QB who started for UCLA. Slow reads and doesn't have a sixth sense for when it comes time to tuck it and run. He needs a QB guru and Stein ain't it.
Lanning will always be aggressive, especially against overmatched teams. He would certainly take the FG's in a closer matchup (I believe)...
Need to land on a feature back and a change of pace back. The RB committee at this point of the season is old. The true Freshmen are workhorses- give them the rock.

Good takes. I'm afraid you're right on Stein. Earlier in the year I was thinking maybe he was turning the corner.
We do have a really good punter, something that hasn't always been the case in recent years.
I agree with the change of pace back and I think it should be Noah being the change of pace back with Jordan getting the carries first.
