Re: A New Coach

Looks like a good hire. Ortiz is coming from a pretty good program. What an opportunity for him to learn under Avalos. Even though Ortiz has limited coaching experience there could be some benefit to playing recently on a good program and relating to the players.

You have to wonder what's going on with Moorhead at this point? I liked the news of Moorhead being the next OC so I hope it comes to fruition.

Yeah, I like the youth factor, plus his playing experience. As far as Moorhead, I have no idea. It seems we would have heard something official by now if it was a done deal. I too like the hire, if true.

On Moorhead, while it is unusual to wait this long to make an announcement, a couple of writers have claimed that it's because Cristobal isn't in Eugene. He's attended a couple award ceremonies and (I presume) has been out recruiting. But if they don't announce something soon, I'm gonna start a Greg Roman to Oregon rumor.

LOL. You're gonna need a twitter account to start an official rumor Something I don't have. It seems as tho you would want to get something finished so he could hit the trail as well. Guess we'll eventually find out. In Mario we trust!

Re: A New Coach

I'm still not sure why Moorhead hasn't been announced, but he's been out recruiting hard for Oregon. Official or not, it sure seems like a done deal.
